Breaking Dawn

So guess what? I'm going to the midnight screening of Breaking Dawn Part 1 tonight! Well technically it's tomorrow morning but I am very excited.

Yep, I'm one of those "Twi-hard's" or whatever they call us.

And one thing I know for sure is that I am going to be very tired getting up for work tomorrow! xx

Sunshine

Another gorgeous day in Sydney today, unfortunately for me I was stuck in the office. I went outside at lunch time and sat in the sun for a while but there was ash flying around everywhere as people are back burning at the moment, so it was a bit smoky outside. 

The days are just getting better and better and summer is nearly here! It's so strange when I read blogs, a lot of the ones I follow are overseas and they have all their wintery clothes happening and I start lusting over chunky boots and fluffy coats when I should be dreaming of bikinis and sandals. What I should be doing most of all is saving for Christmas presents! I have bought a few but not enough and I am so terrible at saving at the moment I have seen too many pretty things. Christmas time is the hardest for me because when I see something I like, I often feel that if I ask someone to buy me something and give it to me for Christmas I always think its too far away I can't wait that long...so I buy it for myself and end up with no money.

So on that note I am going to create my Christmas wishlist. I'll give you a sneak peek soon. xx

Picnic in the park

Wow it has been a scorching few days! Today temperatures reached about 35ºC so it was hooooooot. Yesterday I went on a picnic to a nice little park at Hunters Hill that I found in this book - Sydney's Best Picnic Spots and Beaches. I'm going to try and visit one every couple of weeks because there are just so many beautiful places in Sydney and the weather is just getting better and better.

I packed a nice and unhealthy assortment of snacks consisting of chips, dips, biscuits and lollies and played around with the trees. It was so nice to relax and watch kids riding their bikes and birds flying around in the trees.

So my outfit: the ripped denim vest I bought as a denim jacket from vinnies, ripped off the sleeves and tore it up in a few places. I think it turned out alright in the end! The cuff I'm wearing was bought online from Wanderlust & Co. They have the cutest stuff I've bought so many other pieces from there and they are such a decent price. I highly recommend you try them out!

Anyway Monday is finally over which is a relief so off to bed for me, hopefully I will be able to get some sleep in this heat! xx

Shoe shelf

My project from a few weekends ago - Myles was generous enough to build me some storage space for my shoes. I can't believe I filled it up in one go!

It only took a trip to Bunnings, we bought some chip board, cut it to size, screwed in the shelves and painted it. Unfortunately all I can claim that I did was the painting, but my lovely bf  and his dad helped me out by building it and it is just perfect! I would love to have screwed shelves straight on to the wall and have it as a feature but seeing as I live in a rented home I'm not quite able to do that, but it didn't turn out too badly in the end!

We even put a couple of screws in the side to hold up my jewellery case. 

Very happy with my little project and hoping to start another soon. Keep you updated! xx

Boyfriend cut.

Just the rest of the pics from dinner last night, it was so hot! I have no idea why I was so covered up all the other girls were much smarter in their skirts and singlet tops but the shirt dress was one I bought in Melbourne and was dying to wear it so I decided to wear it open. Thankfully inside the restaurant was air conditioned and by the time we were finished. 

Anyway I went shopping tonight - not a good idea. Spent way too much money and now have limited funds to last me over the weekend until next pay day. Silly girl.

Dos Senoritas

Mmmm Mexican! Went out with the girls to Dos Senoritas for margaritas and quesadillas tonight...yummmmmyyyy! Now I am currently in a food coma so finding it hard to think.

Market part 2

Everything in the fruit and veg section looked so yummy! On the day we arrived I stopped and got 3 huge mangoes for $4! They tasted so good and there was so much I would have brought home if I could. Even one of these cacti...so cute!

Off to dinner with the girls tomorrow night, going to try a new mexican place so pics on that tomorrow. xx
